Sales & Make Up Updates

November and December are my absolute favourites months! Which means my wallet is always struggling to keep it's legs closed.
Black Friday sales, Christmas sales, end of year reduced prices, warehouse sales popping up left and right! All these just proves how little self control I have (only during these 2 months).
I've been to a few warehouse sales over the weekends and bought only 3 items - a $5 pair of pants, and a $5 jacket, I also got 3 bras for $20. That was the ultimate steal, and I conjured every part of me to NOT buy anything else, it was tough!
I took these 2 months to top up every make up item I had that was running low (and also maybe perhaps grab some new items on sale). I mostly repurchased items I use every single day - eyeliner from Gosh, Banana Powder from Australis and Max Fanatic Cat Eye Mascara from Wet n Wild. I also got the Ultimate Brow Kit (ash brown) from Wet n Wild to try.
In addition to that, Sephora had a Black Friday sale as well, I managed to pick up a couple of items I needed (and wanted to try).
Anastasia Beverly Hills - Dipbrow Pomade (Ashbrown) It is the same colour as my ABH brow powder duo that I use every day, for the past 3 years?? I've mentioned it on my old blog.
Kat Von D - Alchemist Holographic Transformer I always wanted to get this because the colours are stunning but it was too expensive for me, so when I saw they had a mini travel sized version, I grabbed it.
Cover FX - Power Play foundation (G40)
I've also always wanted to give cover FX a try but I never had a chance to test the foundation against my skin tone, so when I saw the section at Sephora I decided why not! I've been using Fenty Beauty's foundation previously, but I wanted a lighter, matte foundation with medium coverage. I hardly ever use foundation except when I travel (cold countries) or weddings/events so I figured this would be better.
(UPDATE: Unfortunately this was the wrong colour, and also it made my pores more visible?? I don't quite like it so i'm sticking to Fenty)
Zoeva - Brow Line brush
I've used Make Up Geek's dual ended brow brush the same time I bought ABH dual brow powder. I've been using the same brush for 3 years?? and it's about time I replaced it.
(bought at beauty bay, I mentioned it on my old blog as well)
I like Zoeva, i've used their eye shadow palettes because it always has the colours I love. So, im hoping the brush (although something so small) would not disappoint me! I'm also hoping it would work well with my Besamé cake Mascara.

IGK - direct flight multi tasking dry shampoo (New)I bought it because it's the only cruelty free dry shampoo I've seen here.
Drunk Elephant
This year I have tried many facial products. With my saving grace mentioned in My Skincare Routine post. However, it is draining to my budget to have to order it online, and ship it over here. Plus, it is rather expensive. Drunk elephant is a skincare brand that has peaked my interest simply because of its packaging. But the more I read, the more drawn I was to it. So when I finally saw that Sephora carried the brand, I was excited! I saved up and finally treated myself this Christmas season to the Best No.9 Jelly Cleanser.
(UPDATE: Unfortunately, I would not purchase again. It felt very stripping, even though the product claims it wasn't. My face was oilier after barely half a day, my redness came back, and I have quite a bit of break outs. It does however remove make up completely in just one wash, but other than that, it does nothing good to my face.)

Since I started my CF beauty journey 4 years ago, I've noticed that Sephora has brought in a few more CF brands than before and it has made shopping so much more easier - more options. Finding brands was such a pain last time and the ones that I could use were Nyx, Nars, Stila, Tarte, although some are unfortunately no longer CF. I still do have to buy them online, but there are more choices in Sephora now which I'm very happy about! Not only is it easier to browse, but more people would be exposed to these brands and hopefully start to read more into Cruelty Free products.
